Center «Nonlinear optics and activated materials»

Head of the Center: Ruslan Chulkov, PhD

Research areas:
• Development of technology for the synthesis of new optical materials, including nano-oxide glass-ceramics and gel-glasses
• Study of photo-physical and chemical processes, as well as spectral-luminescent, non-linear-optical and lasing characteristics of crystalline, ceramic and nano-structured media and phosphors
• Study of the physics of nonlinear optical processes and the development of methods for generating coherent radiation and nonlinear optical conversion of its frequency
• Development of specialized continuous, quasi-continuous and pulse-periodic solid-state laser systems
• Investigation of the interaction of laser radiation with matter, as well as with biological tissues and living objects by methods of luminescence spectroscopy and Raman spectroscopy
