GEOGRAPHY OF SCIENTIFIC COOPERATION

The Institute of Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus has scientific contacts with many countries. At present, more than 50 agreements on scientific and technical cooperation have been signed with organizations from 15 countries.

The Institute of Physics conducts research within the framework of international projects of the HORIZON 2020. One of the projects in which our employees participate is SUPERTWIN, which includes 8 centers from Italy, Switzerland, Germany, France, The Netherlands and Belarus..  During the ACTRIS-2 project (Studies of aerosols, clouds and trace gases), an annual cycle of measurements of altitude profiles of atmospheric aerosol parameters was carried out. The results of the measurements are presented in the database of the European LIDAR network EARLINET.

Currently, the Institute of Physics has four international laboratories:

  • The International Laboratory of Optical Diagnostics on the basis of the Laboratory of Optical Diagnostics (headed by Academician, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences N.S. Kazak)
  • The scientific center of the secondary network of the Central European Initiative (headed by Academician, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences V.A. Orlovich)
  • Branch of ICRANet international network (headed by Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Yu.A. Kurochkin)
  • Laboratory for Laser Physics, Engineering and Technology (headed by corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences S.A. Tikhomirov)

GEOGRAPHY OF EXPORTS

The Institute of Physics develops, manufactures and supplies laser and optical instruments for various purposes, as well as innovative components for laser technology, to many countries of the world (Russia, China, Germany, France, the United States, Saudi Arabia, India, etc.).
